OK! Since May of 2012 I’ve been jamming through an enormous mountain of work for a big video game project that I can’t talk about just yet (I’ll post all kinds of stuff about it as soon as I’m able)! My portion of the art for it is officially done though, SO I can redirect my attention back to other things! Over the next few weeks I’ll be doing some updates on the other things I was able to squeeze in during that time, and brand new stuff that I’m currently churning out!
The first thing I wanted to tell you guys about is OFFSET http://offsetcomics.com/
My pal Ivan Brandon is in the early stages of development on OFFSET (a new publishing venture which he refers to as a “lab” because it’s really more of a series of experiments in new media than a strictly comics/print sort of thing). The website is still being tooled with and perfected (currently it features a small piece of art by yours truly), but you can follow the twitter updates here: https://twitter.com/offsetcomics .
I’ll be doing my own comic, Double Cross (more on this soon) with OFFSET, but I’ll also be helping around the studio with other pieces of design work etc.
The poster pictured above is for another OFFSET book called DEATH FACE, by Ivan Brandon and Ryan Browne, with art by an excellent gentleman named Chuck BB (known for producing the very slick artwork on Black Metal for Oni Press). I designed, colored, and created the logo/type for the poster, and Chuck did all of the super dynamic ink drawings! It was a really fun collaboration and I feel real lucky to be working with this gang of talented dudes, on what promises to be a really exciting series of projects once we get the ball rolling!
