This is a sketch I did recently for a New Yorker piece about Red Hot + Cuba, a 2 night show featuring a sampling of Havana’s contemporary musicians. If you’re in NYC Friday Nov. 30th or Saturday Dec. 1st, you should check it out! The sketch features Cucu Diamantes, one of the headliners.

This was one of the sketch options I showed them for the illustration I posted below. I actually kinda prefer it, I think? It’s not totally resolved, but I like the full body view of the runner.
